Device Management
Add, edit, ping, and monitor devices.
Manage monitored hosts at /devices. Each device record holds an IP address or hostname, a display name, optional group and location tags, and per-device alert settings.
Adding a Device
- Click + NEW DEVICE in the top-right of the device list.
- Fill in the form fields:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Human-readable label (e.g. Router, NAS-01) |
| IP / Host | IPv4 address or hostname to ping |
| Group | Logical grouping for filtering (e.g. Office, Cloud) |
| Location | Physical or geographic label |
| Alerts enabled | Toggle per-device alerting (overrides global setting) |
- Click SAVE. The device appears immediately and will be included in the next scheduler run.
Device Status
Each row in the list shows the last-seen status as a colored badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ● ONLINE | Last ping succeeded within normal latency |
| ● OFFLINE | Last ping failed or no response |
| — | No ping recorded yet for this device |
Pinging a Device Manually
Open a device's detail page (/devices/{id}) and click PING NOW. The result is saved as a log entry and updates the device's status immediately.
Editing and Deleting
Use the EDIT button to open the edit form, or DEL to permanently remove the device and its associated ping log entries.
Warning — Deleting a device also deletes all its historical ping logs. This action cannot be undone.
Filtering and Search
Use the search bar and group/status dropdowns above the device table to narrow the list. Filters apply client-side instantly — no page reload required.
