Inventory
Ingredient stock tracking and recipe-based auto-deduction.
The Inventory module is only available in Advanced Mode. Enable it in Settings → System → Mode → Advanced. It then appears in the sidebar navigation.
Inventory tab
Shows every ingredient with current stock, a visual stock bar, and a status badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OK | Stock is above the minimum threshold |
| Low | Stock is at or near the minimum — reorder soon |
| Critical | Stock is at or below zero — stop selling affected items |
From this tab you can: edit ingredient metadata (min/max stock, supplier, expiry date), add custom ingredients, and trigger a reorder note.
Recipes tab
Maps each product to the ingredients it consumes per serving. When a sale is completed, BrewDesk reads the recipe and deducts the corresponding quantities from stock automatically.
- Select a product from the list
- Add ingredient rows with quantities (by unit)
- Save — deductions apply to all future sales of that product
Recipe accuracy — Stock deduction depends entirely on how accurately your recipes are configured. If a product has no recipe, its ingredient stock will not be reduced on sale.
